The v2 fixes a typo. Nothing major if you didn’t notice it (we didn’t notice it either).

Patching instructions:

1. Put the patch/bat/exe (that’s all of them, not just one) in the same folder as the v1 file.
2. Scan the .exe with a virus scanner (you weren’t going to just run an exe from a random website, were you?).
3. Run the .bat file.
4. Make me a sandwich damn it. Enjoy.

This patch corrects only few things. Basically all I did was change the translation of akai yoru to Red Night instead of Crimson since I felt that “crimson” is too poetic to be constantly referenced by the characters. On a more routine side, I fixed up a typo in the OP translation.

Also, in light of the second episodes hungarian title and the translation which CR chose, I’ve changed the episode preview from “The crystal girl” to “The girl in the crystal”. And no, that wasn’t apparent in the first place. Everyone else has it wrong as well.

I think that’s just about it. The transport stream which we use airs on Friday. Yeah, annoying.

Oh, and something important: We are looking for someone capable of TLC’ing a short sequence of creepy hungarian which appears in the second episode. I’m willing to bet CR used the Japanese subtitles for their translation, and I want to cross-reference. I don’t know whether future episodes will have different hungarian.

Alright. I’ll try to make it short (my first entry here, anyway, so all this Wordpress stuff is new for me).

1. 480p because it truly doesn’t air in 720p and doesn’t contain any more detail than what our encode contains. Also, one would expect the video quality to be awesome if the encoder spends days making encode after encode staring at pixels. [ Encoder Note: It means all the other releases are shitty upscales. Don't watch them. :p ] Which leads us to…
2. Why delay? Well, this project was originally supposed to run CR’s subs past TLC, Editing and such, but apparently Crunchy’s idea of simulcast is on a different wavelength. I got bored yesterday waiting for CR and talked the rest into TL’ing the first episode proper. The delay is partly the wait for CR and also the insane time cryptw was brooding over the encodes with Waryas.
3. The softsubbed kara by yours truly: If there is considerable feedback demanding a proper hardsubbed kara, I can make one. The soft karatime is done and I have the effects lying around since I made them for fun a little while back. However, that would be a release unrelated to Shinji (or, for that matter, the rest of this project) since Shinji firmly renounces all involvement with relics of weeaboism/tainting the video/I guess?

Like with Sora no Otoshimono, future releases will be more speedy as we seem to have finally settled on a broadcast and filterchain… or whatever it is those encoders were talking about.

Also, excuse the slow upload for the first half hour or so since I’m seeding this on my own as the entire distro seems to have gone somewhere.

P.S.:

The CRC is fudged. Blame goes to me. The correct CRC is CC69EE88. Also, the filename is apparently not in the format we had agreed on earlier, so that is changed on the DDL as well. Since TT doesn’t allow resubmission of the same torrent and this doesn’t really merit a v2 in my opinion, torrents for the first will retain the old name.
