Also, regarding the translation of “Aoi Bungaku” to “Blue Literature”. Basically, /someone/ said that “Aoi” has all these connotations and such blah blah blah so translating it as “blue” isn’t good enough.

Well I think that if you should need a similar level of either English or Japanese to read the connotations in “Blue” or “Aoi” respectively. So by translating it as “Blue” we keep the subtlety of the connotations.

Yeah, I got myself a crew to sub Aoi Bungaku at last. However, we are only three (cryptw (the one who always fails the TT comments =) (EDIT: At least I got the filename right :p)), meki and me). For all of us this is more of a side project, but we will finish the show and we will deliver it in quality. We won’t, however, commit to any sort of schedule (which we aren’t adhering to even on the shows we actually do try to commit on). Please note how more staff for things like typesetting or timing won’t make the subs come out noticeably faster, so we don’t really need more people on the project.

At any rate, enjoy this release of Blue Literature, episode 1.

Appendix:

1280×720 dimensions. crypt, the resident encoding nazi, has assured me and demonstrated the video does actually need the bitrate. I know it’s harsh on CPU, but it’s really worth it in my opinion.
